This is a tobacco hutch done in a Telemark style. The Master Horners were asked to contribute a "Master piece" to be auction off to raise money for the Honourable Company of Horners Guild, for new projects. I have always liked the design of the Nordic sewing boxes and figured that this would be a good project.

I chose a white and greenish hull that was not straight. I thought an interesting curve would add a bit of interest... sort of like an old top hat.

This item will come up for auction and if you go to the horn guild web site you can get all the information on how to bid on this item or any of the Master's pieces.

I make pieces like this upon request. They take a little time but they come with tobacco and a pipe that will be appropriate for the time period requested.
